Last reviewed 12 October 2026 · How we evaluate
Phuket International Dental Center has served the island's foreign residents and visitors since 1985. It sits on the fourth floor of Bangkok Hospital Siriroj, the BDMS group hospital formerly known as Phuket International Hospital, so dental treatment takes place inside an accredited hospital with anaesthesia, imaging and emergency cover in the same building. The hospital lists 15 dentists across general, cosmetic, implant, orthodontic and surgical work.

Our Assessment of Phuket International Dental Center at Bangkok Hospital Siriroj
The main reason to choose this dental centre is the setting. Treatment happens inside a JCI-accredited private hospital that belongs to Thailand's largest hospital group, which matters most if you have a medical condition, need surgery such as wisdom tooth removal or bone grafting, or simply want the reassurance of a hospital around you. It has also been treating foreign patients on Phuket for around four decades.
The trade-offs are transparency and price. The hospital publishes no dental prices, names only a few of its dentists online, and the JCI accreditation covers the hospital as a whole rather than the dental centre specifically. Independent guides place it in the upper price range for Phuket. It is also in Phuket Town, around 30 km from the airport and some distance from the west-coast beaches where most visitors stay.
For patients who value a hospital setting over price, and for those already living in or near Phuket Town, it is a sensible choice. Visitors chasing the lowest price for routine work, or wanting a clinic within walking distance of their beach hotel, will find cheaper and more convenient options.

Accreditations, Verified
The accreditation shown here belongs to Bangkok Hospital Siriroj as a whole. The hospital lists the Joint Commission International Gold Seal of Approval on its accreditation page. We could not find a separate accreditation for the dental centre itself, and we could not check individual dentists against the Thai Dental Council register online, so we name only dentists the hospital lists with their training.
JCI Accredited
Joint Commission International. The hospital reports achieving JCI accreditation for a third time, following an on-site evaluation in November 2019. JCI is the leading global standard for hospital quality and patient safety. We were unable to independently retrieve a current listing from the JCI online directory, so this rests on the hospital's own published certification records.

About Phuket International Dental Center at Bangkok Hospital Siriroj
Phuket International Dental Center is the dental department of Bangkok Hospital Siriroj, on Chalermprakiat Ror 9 Road (Highway 402) just outside Phuket Town. The hospital opened in 1982 as Phuket International Hospital and now belongs to Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), Thailand's largest private hospital group. The dental centre says it has served Phuket's international community since 1985, which makes it one of the longest-running dental practices on the island. Its Thai-language page calls it the Siriroj Dental Center.
The centre is on the fourth floor of the hospital's main building and opens every day from 08.00 to 17.00. The hospital says it has a team of 15 dentists, each qualified in a specialty, and it covers general dentistry, crowns and bridges, dentures, veneers, whitening, root canal treatment, implants, bone grafting and sinus lifts, orthodontics including lingual braces, Damon braces and Invisalign, and children's dentistry. It uses digital panoramic X-ray equipment that the hospital says gives around 90 per cent less radiation than older machines.
Bangkok Hospital Siriroj should not be confused with Bangkok Hospital Phuket, a separate and larger BDMS hospital in the town centre with its own dental department.

Common Questions About Phuket International Dental Center at Bangkok Hospital Siriroj
What patients typically want to know before choosing this hospital
How We Evaluated Phuket International Dental Center at Bangkok Hospital Siriroj
Our hospital profiles are independently researched by our editorial team. No clinic can pay to be listed here, ranked higher or reviewed favourably. For this dental centre we relied on the hospital's own published pages and were careful to separate hospital-wide facts from the dental department's own. Here is what we assessed. Our checks are desk-based, verified against the issuing bodies' registers and the hospital's own published materials rather than a hospital-arranged visit. Read the full methodology.
We confirmed each accreditation directly with the issuing bodies and against published records, rather than relying on marketing claims, so the badges you see are real.
We checked the qualifications of the clinicians who would treat you and the depth of the specialist teams, technology and inpatient support standing behind them.
We assessed whether there is a genuine international patient service — multilingual staff, visa help and structured coordination — rather than just a translated website.
We looked for documented care plans, follow-up scheduling and clear channels, so you can still reach your care team once you have flown home.
We evaluated whether estimates are itemised and given in writing upfront, covering treatment, stay and follow-up, rather than arriving as one opaque figure.
We reviewed patient reports across multiple independent sources, looking for consistent themes in satisfaction, complaints and treatment outcomes.
How we make money
Hospitals cannot pay for placement, ranking or a favourable review anywhere on this site. We earn a coordination fee from the hospital only when you choose to book through us, and it never changes your price. That conflict is why we publish our evaluation criteria and sources on every profile, and link accreditations to the issuing bodies.
If you believe any information on this profile is inaccurate or outdated, please contact our editorial team and we will check it against the source.
