Every surgical and non-surgical procedure carries risks, including but not limited to infection, bleeding, scarring, adverse reaction to anaesthesia, dissatisfaction with treatment outcome, the need for revision treatment, and in rare cases serious complications including death. You must discuss all material risks with the treating Provider before consenting to treatment.
The clinics, hospitals, and surgeons we refer patients to are independent third parties. They are not employees, agents, partners, joint venturers, or representatives of Thailand Smile or Thailand Care. Their qualifications, licences, accreditations, standards of care, and outcomes are their own responsibility.
While we take reasonable care in selecting Providers, we do not independently audit or verify every claim. You are responsible for satisfying yourself — through consultation, document checks, second opinions, and any other appropriate due diligence — that the Provider is suitable for your needs before consenting to treatment.
The contract for medical treatment, including any consent forms, surgical agreements, and financial arrangements, is directly between you and the Provider.
This website and our service are not for emergency medical needs. Do not use our enquiry forms, chat, email, WhatsApp, or messaging to seek urgent care — none of these channels are monitored 24/7 and we are not a medical provider.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency at home, immediately call your local emergency number — for example: 999 (UK), 911 (US/Canada), 112 (EU/EEA), 000 (Australia), 111 (NZ) — and go to the nearest emergency department.
If you are travelling in Thailand and experience a medical emergency, call 1669 for the Thai national Emergency Medical Service (free public ambulance dispatch). Operators may not speak English in all areas, so where possible ask a hotel concierge, taxi driver, or English-speaking bystander to call on your behalf and describe the situation.

Travelling internationally for medical treatment ("medical tourism") carries additional considerations that you should evaluate carefully with a qualified medical professional in your home country and the treating Provider, including:

If complications arise after you have returned home, your treating Provider's aftercare protocols apply (where they exist). Care provided by other clinicians in your home country is between you and those clinicians. We can help re-establish communication with the Provider but cannot direct or oversee care provided by anyone, anywhere.

They may be outdated, may not apply to your specific case, and are subject to change. The Provider's quote after consultation is the definitive price.
