BIDC is where dental tourists go when they want a hospital-grade standard of care rather than a single-chair clinic. JCI-accredited since 2012, ISO 9001 certified since 2006, and built around a seven-storey specialist center with its own laboratories, an in-house implant team, and an international coordination desk that runs from your first quote to your final fitting.

Our Assessment of Bangkok International Dental Center
For a complex case that needs several specialists working in step, such as full-arch implants, full-mouth rehabilitation, or a multi-specialist smile makeover, BIDC is about as safe a choice as Thailand offers. Having the prosthodontist, oral surgeon, and orthodontist your plan depends on inside one organisation takes out the coordination risk you carry at a smaller practice.
The trade-off is price and atmosphere. BIDC sits at the premium end of the Bangkok dental market, and the operation can feel large and clinical compared with a boutique single-dentist clinic. You may see more than one practitioner across a treatment plan rather than the same face every visit.
For patients who prioritise accreditation, specialist depth, and a structured international-patient process over the lowest price, BIDC is among the strongest choices in Thailand.

About Bangkok International Dental Center
Established in 2005, Bangkok International Dental Center grew from a single Bangkok clinic into one of the largest private dental groups in Thailand, with its flagship seven-storey specialist center on Ratchadaphisek Road in the Din Daeng district. The main center spans roughly 4,800 square metres and houses more than 20 treatment rooms, on-site dental laboratories, and a team of over 70 dentists working across prosthodontics, implantology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, and cosmetic dentistry.
In 2012 BIDC became the first dental center in Thailand to earn Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, and the group reports treating in the region of 20,000 international patients a year. Beyond the Ratchadaphisek headquarters, BIDC operates satellite clinics at Siam Paragon and EmQuartier in central Bangkok, plus locations in Phuket and Chiang Mai, giving travelling patients continuity of care across Thailand's main destinations.

How We Evaluated Bangkok International Dental Center
Our hospital profiles are independently researched by our editorial team. No clinic can pay to be listed here, ranked higher or reviewed favourably. Here is what we assessed for BIDC.
These checks are desk-based. We verify against the issuing bodies' registers and the hospital's own published materials rather than a hospital-arranged visit, and no hospital has any say in what we publish. Read the full methodology.
We verified BIDC's JCI accreditation and ISO 9001 status against the center's published quality-standards documentation and the relevant accreditation frameworks, not just marketing claims.
We checked that named specialists hold formal specialty training and board credentials, and reviewed their published university affiliations, fellowships, and teaching positions.
We assessed whether the center has a genuine international-patient process, online quotes, English-speaking coordinators, and travel support, rather than just a translated website.
We looked at whether the facility has on-site laboratories and digital imaging that support same-trip restorative work and accurate implant planning.
We evaluated whether the center provides clear, itemised quotes upfront rather than bundled or opaque pricing.
We reviewed patient reports across multiple independent sources to identify consistent themes in satisfaction, communication, and outcomes.
How we make money. Hospitals cannot pay for placement, ranking or a favourable review anywhere on this site. We earn a coordination fee from the hospital only when you choose to book through us, and it never changes your price. That conflict is why we publish our evaluation criteria and sources on every profile, and link accreditations to the issuing bodies.
If you believe any information on this profile is inaccurate or outdated, please contact our editorial team and we will check it against the source.
