Bumrungrad Dental Center
The dental department of Asia's first JCI-accredited hospital, with more than 55 specialist dentists under one roof

Bumrungrad Dental Center is the choice for patients who want their dental work done inside a large international hospital rather than a stand-alone clinic. Its dentist list reads like a who's who of Thai dental school professors, it is open every day of the week, and the hospital's international services, interpreters and insurance desk are a lift ride away.

Our Assessment of Bumrungrad Dental Center
Bumrungrad Dental Center makes most sense for patients with medical conditions, complex implant or jaw surgery, or a need for sedation or general anaesthesia, where having a full hospital around the dental chair is a real advantage. The specialist roster is strong: many of the named dentists hold senior academic posts at Thai dental schools, and several list Thai or American board certification.
The trade-offs are cost and focus. This is a hospital department, so prices sit at the top of the Bangkok market and the centre does not publish a dental price list, so you will need a quote. Many of its senior dentists also teach or practise elsewhere, so check which dentist will see you and when they are in clinic. The hospital's own pages do not describe an in-house dental laboratory or 3D CT, so ask how long crowns and implant restorations take if you have a fixed travel window.
For patients who value medical back-up and a deep specialist bench over price, it is one of the safest dental settings in Bangkok.

Accreditations, Verified
The Dental Center works inside Bumrungrad International Hospital and under its accreditations. We checked the hospital's JCI status on the issuing body's register and its Thai accreditation on the hospital's published accreditation page.
JCI Accredited (hospital)
Joint Commission International. The Dental Center sits inside Bumrungrad International Hospital, which was the first hospital in Asia to receive JCI accreditation, effective February 2002 and most recently re-accredited in January 2024. JCI accredits the hospital as a whole, so the Dental Center works under the hospital's accredited systems for infection control, medication and patient safety; the Dental Center does not hold a separate dental-specific JCI award.

Advanced Hospital Accreditation from Thailand's Healthcare Accreditation Institute, first awarded to the hospital in 2016 and renewed in 2023, according to the hospital's accreditation page.

About Bumrungrad Dental Center
The Dental Center is a department of Bumrungrad International Hospital, the private hospital on Sukhumvit Soi 3 that in 2002 became the first in Asia to earn JCI accreditation. The centre is on the third floor of Building B (South Wing) and is open seven days a week from 8am to 8pm. The hospital says it has more than 55 specialist dentists; its online dentist list shows 44 named dentists when we checked.
The centre covers general dentistry, prosthodontics (crowns, bridges, dentures and implant restorations), implant dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, endodontics (root canal treatment), periodontics (gum treatment), aesthetic dentistry including veneers, children's dentistry, oral medicine, temporomandibular joint (jaw joint) disorders and oral and maxillofacial radiology. The roster includes specialists in maxillofacial prosthetics and craniofacial prosthetics for patients rebuilding after cancer surgery or trauma.
Because the centre sits inside a large hospital, it can call on anaesthesia, medical specialists and the hospital's international services, which is the main reason to choose it over a stand-alone dental clinic.

How We Evaluated Bumrungrad Dental Center
Our hospital profiles are independently researched by our editorial team. No clinic can pay to be listed here, ranked higher or reviewed favourably. Here is what we assessed for Bumrungrad Dental Center. Our checks are desk-based, verified against the issuing bodies' registers and the hospital's own published materials rather than a hospital-arranged visit. Read the full methodology.
We confirmed each accreditation directly with the issuing bodies and against published records, rather than relying on marketing claims, so the badges you see are real.
We checked the qualifications of the clinicians who would treat you and the depth of the specialist teams, technology and inpatient support standing behind them.
We assessed whether there is a genuine international patient service — multilingual staff, visa help and structured coordination — rather than just a translated website.
We looked for documented care plans, follow-up scheduling and clear channels, so you can still reach your care team once you have flown home.
We evaluated whether estimates are itemised and given in writing upfront, covering treatment, stay and follow-up, rather than arriving as one opaque figure.
We reviewed patient reports across multiple independent sources, looking for consistent themes in satisfaction, complaints and treatment outcomes.
How we make money
Hospitals cannot pay for placement, ranking or a favourable review anywhere on this site. We earn a coordination fee from the hospital only when you choose to book through us, and it never changes your price. That conflict is why we publish our evaluation criteria and sources on every profile, and link accreditations to the issuing bodies.
If you believe any information on this profile is inaccurate or outdated, please contact our editorial team and we will check it against the source.
